“Crochet Chronicles: Documenting My Creative Journey, One Stitch at a Time”

“Crochet Chronicles: Documenting My Creative Journey, One Stitch at a Time”

I found my passion for crochet 7 years ago when my two youngest children had grown to be more independent and needed less of my attention.

After raising 7 kids I suddenly found I had a lot more time on my hands and needed something to keep me busy.

I had fond memories of my Nan crocheting when I was a child and loved the granny square blankets she used to make. I would always love to watch as she worked on a blanket and thinking how amazing she was at not only making such warm and cosy blankets, but how fast she was! So I aspired to be like my Nan and make granny square blankets for my own grandchildren and hopefully they would have the same fond memories of me.

I had already tried knitting, but I just couldn’t get  a grasp of it, so following in my Nans footsteps I  brought my first crochet hook and way too many balls of yarn, in all weights, and colours and began my own crochet journey.
